Tick tock clocks are soothing,
calling out the position or placement
of air
relative to
the birth of the universe.
I guess other creatures
would mark it differently from me,
by their shadows length if the sun is
up
or the colour of an oak trees leaves,
whether rain or snow,
hot or cold.
the speed by which the world revolves
( "at which" seems far from constant )
or the changing way the stars evolve
regardless,
we all preen at first light
wash away the dreams of night
sometimes inspecting heaven
in the middle of life
as another dawn begins
and ends
another twilight.
