Mac is a founding member of the International Artist Collaboration project ...here nor there...(HNT)
Mac's work ranges across various disciplines. His on line poetry and video work has been exhibited as part of international touring exhibitions. DATA STREAM PURE CORRUPT will feature in the FILE Hipersonica Event and Symposium taking place at Paco das Artes, from August 7 to August 23 of 2003, in Sao Paulo Brazil.
Currently, as founder of the Sign Hear project, Mac is developing on line resources promoting the use of British Sign Language (BSL) on the internet, and within that, researching the common ground between the visual language of Sign and the visual language of video & film.
and recently collaborated with HNT collegue, Neil Jenkins on the generative poetry engine Orbital which will feature in the academic journal of electronic arts: Leonardo,
scheduled to be published in August 2003 (issue 36:4).
A regular presence on the Bristol, and UK poetry performance scene Mac also publishes poetry electronically to subscribers and to to a variety of internet publications.
Recently, Mac has been commissioned to make a silent film for Statement Media Arts Development, to be screened in October as part of the Bath Festival 2003.
Mac is also involved in organising ViSign, a Sign Language Film Festival which will be held at the Cube Cinema, and Watershed Media Center in Bristol, UK (October 3-5th 2003) in collaboration with David Ellington, and VS1 .
