Some events will have limited capacity and it will be necessary for people to show up early or to reserve ahead to ensure a spot.

*About ticket pricing: Some people have been saying to us, "Hey, Ladyfest, why are tickets so expensive?" We don't really think they are considering the quality & quantity of the bands / films / performers / art that you get for your money, but we understand that £15 can seem like a lot for a night out. Thing is, Ladyfest is a lot more than a night out - the ticket prices cover workshops, film entry, and spoken word as well as the evening gigs.

The ticket prices just cover our running costs, which includes venue hire, equipment hire, materials, artist travel expenses, promotion, etc. We're totally volunteer and many of the acts are performing for expenses only. If we do make a profit above our running costs at the end of the festival, we are going to donate it all to women's charities. The charities we've chosen are:

Womankind - Bristol health advisory service for women
The Bristol Somali Women's Group
RAWA -
the Afghan women's association
