Book your Charabanc and start sticking on those rhinestones because the next Cabaret of Curiosities is fast approaching, Darlings!
This time we’re joining forces with Ladyfest to bring you a wonderful array of female led acts including live performance and exotic dancing from :
Keda Breeze, The Scarlet Vixens and Davinia Fish Theatre
and music from Rasha Shaheen and Laienda
Also featuring The Ladies Oracle and a chance to win a glass of Paradise Punch served by the man himself (just don your most extravagant chapeau).
That’s Friday the 31st of August at 8pm in the beautiful Cube Cinema, Bristol.
Double sorry for not posting that much of late ( double sorry for me cos I lost A LOT of data not so long ago that I should have go up before, and I would have had at least lo-res versions, but that’s now gone for good . . . so it goes )
I keep meaning to revisit my Cube Tv post and add more about The Blankket and Aaron Flint’s presentation about The Department of Safety but haven’t had time . . . Lisa Brook’s Cube TV was wonderful last week, and I’m looking forward to Liam Kirby’s tonight . . .
Anyway one busy making activity consuming me of late is this . . .
. . . which is kind of Cubelog worthy ( “Bristol’s multimedia underground is magically transported to The Media Mix away from its usual habitat of The Cube Cinema” )
last week I did the first Cube TV - this is a new night for Tuesdays over the Summer where different guests choose a programme of programmes using various sources . . . I based mine on on-line stuff, particularly youtube, and Lady Lucy’s presentation style from QuWack, with onstage googling that had impressed me . . .
anyway I plan to explain a bit more, but for now here’s some links we got to see on the big screen ( and some we didn’t ) . . . oh and if you’re about tonight you can see CubeTV instigator James’ choice . . .

From the volunteers list . . .
Hello,
as you all know Fopp’s has - after shops such as
Revolver, Imperial Records and Replay - also succumbed
to the forces of the free market, the forces of HMV
and Virgin.
This has produced the closure of the Fopp-shop on
Whiteladies Road and a box-full of several vacant milk
bottles as a side effect.
It seems that the shop has not terminated its delivery
contract and I therefore recommend going to the shop
and picking up one of the two-litre-bottles for your
own consumption.
Otherwise they will perish by passing their
sell-by-date.
Wouldn’t this be a shame?
Leave a bottle or two for the street-population.
Enjoy.
Bye,
Lea
