Well we did! We bloomin well did it Ma I tell ya! Crikey this was hard work, 2 hours of improv by 8 musicians, well 7 and Team Brick who is just a nutter making noises.
Look, People turned up and everything bar
Not a huge turnout, ok not a mildly average turn out but a turn out non the less.
Even some Cube demons came out for a closer look Rod they were mighty intrigued.

A very interesting experiment a friend of mine said, and it was. We all enjoyed it, playing and concentrating is really tiring (as I often find with Movieoke). Here are some fine examples of Orchestral concentation par excellance hugh

Hugh and Tomoko doing an admirable job there.

Mr Hopkinson was in charge of feeding the vocals from the film, sometimes he messed with the vocals using some kind of thingy I believe it’s called. Didn’t he look dapper?

In attendance was Team Brick, Gareth, Belinda, Ale, Tomoko, Richie Paradise (that’s me Blog fans, er fan, ok Mom), Mr Hopkinson and Hugh.

next one is 2 months time. i think we’ll try to do something shorter but you never know my lad, you never ever know…………..

tomoko and team brick

With a big thanks to my old showbiz chum Craig David for the shout out. Maximum respect to you David.

Anyway, just a wee taster without giving too much away I hope
Rescore

Ale seen here practising for the big rescore debut (as much as you can call spontaneous improv ‘practising’).
Still Concentration is a must, see? belinda and gareth Top marks to the small horn department, especially for the Christmas section (not giving much away there to be honest).
Listening back on me digi camera we sounded pretty good.
Something odd happened though:
satanic team brick possibly Team Brick (or Tim Brick as my friend thought he was called) has been worshipping The Dark Lord again.

Anyways, see youse guys tomorrow

Welll alright!
Money
‘Bout time The Cube got with the program daddio. Game and Watch (Hog in otherwords) presented Oceans 11 and 12, and I made sure the Bar was swinging and the Martinis were extra dry. There was supposed to be a Casino but it never materialised, so we played Russian Roulette instead. These young people turned up in character young people but went home in a bodybag I’m afraid. Any rumours that they killed themselves due to the radiculous plot of Oceans 12 (where they pretend they are the actors that they actually are, yeah I know) is totally untrue.

Still this ‘Arty’ photo I manipulated can exist as their eulogy

Fellow Orchestra member Ellie was making her debut as a Cube Volunteer ellie her and Cederic tried looking really hard for a while, Olsa was less than impressed ellie olsa cederic.
Later we tried looking cool trying to look cool
it didn’t work.

So me and Cederic tried again. I think we look like a french electronic pop act, whaddya think?

Well it was a quiet night but we made some new friends, and Swing was once again King,

Nuts of the round table

Welcome pop fans, and your starter for ten:

Who is this marked in red?
whose who

Of course, its our Jewel of the Orient, Tomoko.
Question 2, why did Richie Paradise turn up so late for practise that he missed it all bar the packing up? Well half a mark for lazy good for nothing layabout, but mainly I was knackered and if you read the previous blog it’s ‘cus I was playing swingin tunes in the bar for Game and Match presents Ocean 11 + 12.

So anyhow we went to The Bell for a chinnnycube at pub
Where we discussed the practise. The gang had been improvising to Fred Maintenant’s drone piece. The general consensus being that it was hard to play too as there wasn’t much to react to and play off. It was notable for Marcus’ vitriolic response whch was really quite something. There was also much discussion about the upcoming rescore and ideas about others in the future too. Much beer was also quaffed.

We hope to see you Thursday for The Mystery Film Rescore.

Paradise Home Run Paradise 3 strikes and out.
